Technical Assistance for C-4 Countries

A total of 7 delegates from Burkina Faso, Chad, Mali and Benin will be visiting Pakistan from April 22 to May 05, 2018. During the stay in Pakistan delegates will make exposure visits of different cotton research Institutions, textile and garment industry  and academic institutions at Lahore, Faisalabad and Multan. A full day is reserved for Pakistan Central Cotton Committee and Central Cotton Research Institute at Multan. The visit will be coordinated by Dr. Khalid Abdullah Cotton Commissioner and Vice President PCCC.

The training is offered by Government of Pakistan under the "Technical Assistance Program for C-4 Countries"

@khalidabdullah99#288 I know Dr Bourgou who has contacted me and who asked to meet me at the next ICAC Plenary in Abidjan. He must have been excited by the work you do in Multan on exploiting the genetic diversity of Gossypium!

Dr. Bourgou from Burkina Faso was the cotton breeder rest were from Trade and Commerce of their respective countries. Additionally, all four ambassadors to WTO also visited Pakistan for three days. During their visit they met with Prime Minister of Pakistan and Governor of Punjab Province, and visited National Institute of Biotechnology ad Genetic Engineering (NIBGE) and Nuclear Institute of Agriculture and Biology at Faisalabad. We will share some of the photographs and press clippings regarding this Technical Assistance Program.
